Hi! I just found your blog and it's awesome! I, too, have that scene out my windows and doors. I live in Elkhart, IN and we are also up to our fannies in snow!
Why are we surprised about snow in January/February? I would love to be somewhere warm and sunny too!Do you have any dogs? My poor pug just about got lost in our yard! Here's to warmer days soon!

Snow is a time to stay indoors and enjoy the sweet love of your family and sit in awe of God and his majestic powers of beauty. I sure do find beauty in the snow (though California sure does look nice!). Thanks for a great post!

i like your wishful thinking, stacey. what does little miss maggie think of the snow?

my older girls are really having the time of their lives building an enormous snow fort.

Hang in there! You guys really got walloped. My niece lives in the Chicago area and their pine tree fell on the house! Sounds like it's crazy there.

It's crazy here, too. Lots of snow - about a foot and then an ice storm. Yuck.

Oh wow, you got hit worse than we did! Hope you are all dug out by now! And I am so with you: I would much rather be in one of those warm and sunny spots:)

I AM somewhere sunny and warm, and I am SO jealous of your mounds and piles of snow! :p I LOVED the blizzards when I lived in Chicago and Valparaiso!! :D

(I do have compensation..I just got back from two days camping on the beach, with surfing, swimming, etc. Heh.)
