I went to the Kane County, IL Flea Market this weekend and found a few great things for the house!
Sideboard/Cupboard for the dining area
The doors have chippy paint tin tiles on them
Lots of storage space inside...now I have an excuse to buy more vintage dishes and linens!
This was a bargain in my eyes in that the price was very fair...er cheap...for a handmade piece
that I didn't have to do a thing to. The kitchen cabinet painting is all the makeover I can
handle right now, with little Miss Maggie around (who just turned 9 months)!
My husband spotted the red chair (a flea market find first for him), it was
only $8! A red chair was on my list...SCORE!! He also spotted and purchased a
Chicago White Sox painting...STRIKE!! ;)
I didn't get the trunk at the Flea Market, but it is new (old) and I thought I would
show it to you anyway. I love the chippy paint finish, but I will probably touch
up the black scuff marks...they're not so pretty.
These Paint By Number farm paintings were a steal at $10 each!
I'll whitewash the gold on the frames.
I was pretty lucky to find the things I did, since the market was pretty light on dealers this month. Perhaps sellers are waiting for warmer weather next month...come on spring!!!
