I Bought A Barn!

Did I get'cha with that title?

Okay, so...it's a playhouse barn, but it's still a barn!

It was purchased at an antique mall for $15... I had no idea what I was going to do with it when I saw it, but I just had to have it!!!

The barn is propped up on two wood shelf brackets from Home Depot, painted an off-white color...

Inside are vintage and new books, and some cool new vintage toy trucks I found...

The little red barn resides in the guest room I have been working on, more on that soon...

Speaking of barns and farms and such, have you ever heard of a Farmette?

A "Farmette" is:   a small residential farm run by an owner who earns income from a source other than the farm.  It is sometimes known as a yokelet or a farmlet

Is that not the cutest name you have ever heard of for a small farm?!

Do you think she has a Farmette?

Stacey

I saw this title this morning and wondered what on earth you done! Not that having barn would be a bad thing, I would love a farmette!

Your little barn is so sweet, makes for perfect storage.

Well I thought I would see a big barn, but this is even better (less upkeep). How clever to turn it into a shelf!!!!

I've never heard of the term farmette, but I think I want to be one.....

Have a wonderful weekend!

Love your sweet little barn, and yes, your teaser headline drew me right in, Stacey!

I did not know about a farmlet. That's too cute how you put your little barn on shelf brackets. Just perfect.

I have an old toy barn I bought to accessorize a bedroom we're working on, but I never thought of mounting it on brackets. It looks adorable with the little cars and books inside!

What a cute idea! I have been saving my girls wooden dollhouse with the thought of hanging it as a shelf. It's kind of big though and haven't found the place for it.

I think I need a Farmette! Not too big - maybe I could handle that - and of course I'd look just like Carole Lombard lounging with my chickens in my short shorts!
